Here’s my secret to avoiding hangovers…
I only drink whiskey or vodka with still water and a mixture of either orange, lemon, lime, cucumber, naartjies or apples. My body literally cannot drink a lot, I don’t do shooters either!
With a hangover, I crave all the food groups over and over! Nothing satisfies me. But what I have learned is to start the day off well, and then I end it off well. I need a lot of willpower to be good though.
Definitely eating something with a bit of oil, like scrambled eggs or an omelette to soak up the alcohol in the morning, followed by charcoal tablets or powder works a charm to help as well as a rehydrate — NUUN is my go-to. The absolute best is to get moving: walk or run…anything to get the blood flowing…. OH, AND PLENTY OF WATER !
